The previous 18 issues felt a touch off as well but close enough to Howard's world that it was not off putting, this collection dials it up to 11 and really does break my immersion as a long time Howard and Conan fanatic. So if you have no baggage as a Howard fan, you will LOVE this She-Devil with a Sword series by Dynamite, highly, highly recommend. If you are like me and are a long time lover of Howard's work then just be prepared that this may not feel akin to his work, or even Dark Horse's fantastic Conan run that was made parallel-- just not in connection --to this. In closing: even with the slightly jarring nature in connection to Howard's world this She-Devil with a Sword is a must for any comic book fan!!
